About the Event and National Broadcast

The 4th Annual California Collegiate All Star Game is a live, nationally televised premier showcase of top college baseball prospects from around the country. The nine-inning game takes place the day following the MLB All Star Game. Every year Major League player scouts attend to evaluate up-and-coming players for the MLB draft. From this group of players will come many of tomorrow’s stars. It’s an entertaining, must-see game for any baseball fan. The game will be played at the 2,500 seat MLB Urban Youth Academy stadium in Los Angeles with Fox Sports’ Billy MacDonald and Steve Lyons doing the play-by-play.  Before the game at 5 p.m., fans in attendance will be treated to a MLB Legends/Celebrity Softball Homerun Derby. The two HR teams will be led by Steve Garvey (Dodgers) and Mike Scioscia (Angels). This event will be taped with portions replayed during the live broadcast of the All Star game. Additionally, former MLB stars along with film/television celebrities will take the field as a part of the pre-game festivities.
