  • In celebration of the upcoming Dwight Clark Day, the San Francisco 49ers shared a video of “The Catch,” narrated by Hall of Fame sportscaster and ALS Advocate, Vin Scully, who died on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. Scully is most commonly known as an MLB broadcaster for the Los Angeles Dodgers for 67 years. In 2021, Scully lost his wife to ALS.

  • The Golden West Chapter hosts its inaugural Central Coast Ride and Rally to Defeat ALS on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Bang the Drum Brewery in San Luis Obispo. The chapter is launching this new event in the Central Coast to increase awareness and support to those living with the disease, their families, and caregivers. We are grateful to our families in the Central Coast who have traveled to other Team Challenge events throughout our service area in recent years.

  • August 7, also known as “87 Day” is the annual remembrance honoring 49ers legend, Dwight Clark, who died of ALS in 2018. This honorary day helps raise awareness for individuals diagnosed with ALS and their families. As part of the event, the team will host the Golden West Chapter and Augie's Quest as honorary guests.

  • Cytokinetics and The ALS Association announced a new release of the Pooled Resource Open-Access ALS Clinical Trials (PRO-ACT) database, now updated with new clinical data from Cytokinetics’ completed clinical trials in ALS including, BENEFIT-ALS, VITALITY-ALS, and FORTITUDE-ALS.
