Fundraising as a Volunteer
Volunteers are the key to the success of the Napa Valley Ride to Defeat ALS. Without them, this event would not be possible. From event planning, guiding cyclists at intersections, serving food and drinks, to post-event breakdown, The ALS Association depends on people donating their time and talents in order to produce successful events that raise awareness and fund the mission.
Although fundraising is not required as a volunteer, raising funds is a huge part in helping us actuate our mission to treat and cure ALS. This year, we have made it possible for volunteers to register and have all the same participant center tools as our cyclists and walkers! Our volunteer positions fill up quickly so register today!
Duties: making calls, preparing packets, data entry, general office duties
Location: Work remotely from home
Duties: Contacting local groups and clubs, distributing brochures, generally, getting the word out in your community
Day Before Event
Location: Yountville Veterans Home
Duties: Site Set-up – hanging banners, positioning tables and chairs
Location: Yountville Veterans Home, On routes
Positions Available: Safety Team, Course Monitor Team, Rest Stop Teams, SAG Team, parking, check-in, set-up, bike lock-up, cheering section, photography, videography, and break-down
After the Event
Location: The ALS Association Office or working remotely from home
Duties: making calls, data entry, general office duties

Duties: set-up, greeting guests, photography, videography, break-down
Our Youth Crew helps with the FUN jobs like cheering on our participants at the finish line, helping at our fun smoothie and ice cream stations, creating stylish posters, and making sure every single person at the Ride is honored by sporting their alumni stickers.
