Aloha! We are a team of friends/family who walk in support and in memory. Some of us have been directly affected by ALS and others of us are simply here to be of support and fight for a cure. We believe this is a very important cause and that research, patient care, and outreach are critical in this fight. Amyotrophiclateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
