Hello Everyone!

This is Stacy, wife of the Amazing Michael Gagner.

I have moved to Shell Beach, California, but my ALS Heart is still in Kern County.

As you know, Michael and I met in Bakersfield, married and Bryce was born in 1996!  Michael survived 14 years with this horrendous disease. But he lived with grace and inspired those who knew him and met him. 

I will have a small team this year.  I am no longer the Chair of the Kern County Walk.  

I still strongly believe that the Kern County ALS Support Group, which Michael and I commenced after the First Walk in October 2004, is critical to those with ALS. People from all walks of life, nationalities, sexes and ages, come together to help support and educate those with the disease and their families. This support group was Michael's vision, as we had learned so much from traveling for 4 years to the Westlake Village ALS Support Group. 

This past year has been  very exciting for those with ALS.  There is a multitude of research studies occurring now.  And Radicava, the  second drug in HISTORY sanctioned by the FDA for use with ALS Patients and helped increase longevity in patients.  

The Golden West Chapter is now the Largest Chapter in the Nation!  We help so many people with ALS and their families and I am proud to have been the founder of this Walk along with my dear deceased husband. 

By donating to this walk, you can help others via the support group and advocacy, the funding of our local case manager, our equipment loan pool and research.  The Golden West Chapter of the ALS Association is still walking step by step with those with the disease 

PLEASE HELP US ERADICATE THIS TERRIBLE DISEASE.
