My oldest and dearest best friend, Toni Joy Brown, who was diagnosed with ALS, while at the peak of physical fitness, lost her battle with ALS on March 19, 2015. All who knew and loved her remember her strength and dedication to fighting this debilitating disease. It is in her memory that we continue the Walk to Defeat ALS, which inspired her to raise money and awareness, so that one day there will be a cure and others will not suffer as she did.
Please consider making a donation in Toni's memory by clicking on the "donate" link next to our team members names (right-hand side of page).
We would also love for you to join our Virtual Walk team and celebrate with us on Sunday, Nov 1. With your help, we will be able to make a difference in the lives of people affected by this disease. I encourage you get your friends, family, neighbors and coworkers involved!
WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP

That’s why we’re participating in the Walk to Defeat ALS. To bring hope. To raise awareness. To provide resources and services to families free of charge. To help unlock the mystery of ALS and find the key to treatments a cure. Will you join us?
ABOUT ALS
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
ALS can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease, yet it still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need. Join the movement to provide help and hope today!
