Thank you for visiting my Walk to Defeat ALS page, and for helping me reach my Walk to Defeat ALS(TM) fundraising goal!
In 2008, my good friend Jason was diagnosed with ALS. He put up a long, courageous fight before passing away on October 13, 2011.
In his memory, I'm continuing my crusade to help those who struggle with the challenges of living with ALS. Before ALS, Jason was a beloved and inspiring middle school math teacher, a gifted pianist and singer and an active ball player, among many other things. ALS took away his abilities to do the things he loved; however, he remained the same thoughtful, intelligent, hilarious guy I grew up with... his spirit was amazing in the face of the heartbreaking effects of ALS. People like Jason deserve a fighting chance against ALS. Let's help them.
The Walk to Defeat ALS is an exciting opportunity for us to work together to support those affected by Lou Gehrig's Disease and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.
Please consider walking with me or sponsoring me. With your help, we will make a difference in the lives of people affected by this disease. Thanks!
