Ride to Defeat ALS and Walk - September 21, 2019
Napa Valley, CA
Why I ride...
I met Steve, Daniel's father, in the summer 2017 right before his ALS diagnosis. As the disease progressed, he started to lose his ability to walk, speak, and swallow, but he never lost his smile.
February 19, 2019, he lost his battle with ALS after 2.5 years. This is my 3rd year riding, and this will be the first time we are riding in his memory. I hope you are able to join me on this beautiful ride to remember Steve.
What is ALS?
Often referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of it's ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe.
