This will be my, and Team Avon's, fourth year participating and raising funds in the annual Ride to Defeat ALS. I now ride in memory of my brother, Steve, who lost his battle to ALS on February 9, 2019 and to raise funds for those affected by this degenerative disease.
This years ride is on September 21, 2019. The ALS Association provides care services, funds global cutting edge research and supports important public policy initiatives.
Since my brother Steve was diagnosed with ALS, so little was in our control. This ride is an opportunity for us to work together to support those affected by Lou Gehrig's Disease and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.
I'm asking and would really appreciate your help. It would mean a lot to me if you would make a donation (large or small) or join our team to ride and fundraise with us.
Your support gives hope and help to those now facing this disease. By your participation you are standing up for something bigger than yourself. One day we are going to create a world without ALS, I know it!
