Proposition 14 to Continue Funding for Stem Cell Research, Treatments & Cures

 
 

The Golden West Chapter is joining with a broad coalition of dedicated patient advocates, families facing ALS, Nobel Prize winners, notable medical professionals, and scientists in supporting Proposition 14 the Californians for Stem Cell Research, Treatments and Cures Initiative of 2020 that will appear on the November ballot in California.

Prop 14 will authorize $5.5 billion in state general obligation bonds (NOT TAXES) to continue funding stem cell research and the development and delivery of treatments through the work of the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine, with at least $1.5 billion dedicated to diseases and conditions of the brain and central nervous system, including ALS, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, dementia, epilepsy, depression, and brain cancer.
