In honor of National Family Caregivers Month, our next ASK ME educational webinar, “ALS from the Caregiver’s Perspective,”as we discuss ALS from the perspective of two women who each cared for a person living with ALS. Panelists will include Mari Fuentes, who cared for her husband, filmmaker Anton Maillie, and Trish Rice, who cared for her son, writer and poet Ryan Farnsworth. We are grateful to both Mari and Trish, who continue to honor their loved ones by supporting our mission and the ALS community.

Our Mission
To discover treatments and a cure for ALS, and to serve, advocate for, and empower people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest.
The Golden West Chapter supports people living with ALS and their loved ones in 31 counties throughout California and the state of Hawaii. Everything we do advances the search for effective treatments and cures for ALS.
A Note About Current Events and Systemic Racism:
Now and always, our values drive our mission, and our principles guide our vision. The Golden West Chapter rejects hate, racism, and injustice of any kind. Diversity and inclusivity are only the beginning, and we are committed to anti-racist, anti-oppression perspectives that promote equal access to ALS treatments and services.
It is only together that we will defeat ALS.
