Here are some actions you can take to help raise ALS awareness and support our ALS community throughout ALS Awareness Month and anytime of the year:
Advocate: Ask your congressional representatives to support people living with ALS by passing the May as ALS Awareness Month resolution through our online advocacy center.
Make a gift: Your donation will help us continue to provide vital Chapter programs and services free-of-charge, as well as fund ALS research and advocacy efforts.
Share your story: A critical part of raising awareness comes from learning more about how ALS has impacted your life and the people you love.
Take on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge!
In 2014, the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge gained a global outpouring of support for the ALS community. This grassroots movement raised over $220 million worldwide and created unprecedented awareness about ALS. See many notable Ice Bucket Challenges on our Youtube and use them as a guide to help make your own video. Be sure to tag us @alsagoldenwest when you post!
