Throughout the 2017 baseball season, The ALS Association Golden West Chapter is participating in and partnering with baseball teams to raise awareness and support for the fight against Lou Gehrig’s disease.

On Sunday, August 13, the Oakland A's will host a special day to honor the 78th anniversary of Lou Gehrig's farewell to baseball before they face the Baltimore Orioles.  Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on special Major League Baseball memorabilia at a silent auction, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit The ALS Association Golden West Chapter.

Volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and provide information about ALS and the Golden West Chapter, National ALS registry, and to promote our East Bay Walk to Defeat ALS, Silicon Valley Walk to Defeat ALS, and the Napa Valley Ride to Defeat ALS.
