Throughout July and the 2014 baseball season, The ALS Association Golden West Chapter is participating in and partnering with baseball teams to raise awareness and support for the fight against Lou Gehrig’s disease.

This July 4, the Fresno Grizzlies will host a special evening to honor the 75th anniversary of Lou Gehrig's farewell to the New York Yankees and his fans.  Volunteers will be on hand to answer questions, give our information about the Golden West Chapter, National ALS registry, and to promote our Central Valley Walk to Defeat ALS. The national "Strike Out Lou Gehrig's Disease" campaign is focused on promoting the ALS registry and spreading awareness about the increased risk to our military veterans.
