This year marks the fourth annual Jim Tracy 5K to Defeat ALS! This event is sponsored by the University High School Cross Country team of San Francisco and will take place in Golden Gate Park on Sunday, April 22, 2018. Everyone is invited to join us on this special occasion. 

Jim Tracy, the inspirational track coach at San Francisco University High School (UHS), lost his courageous battle with ALS. Jim touched countless lives during his remarkable coaching career, spanning two decades and 40 seasons at UHS.  His dedication to the student’s success helped the UHS team win 10 state cross country titles in 19 seasons and four straight California Division V titles from 2009-2012. These successes led to Jim’s induction into the San Francisco Prep Hall of Fame in 2013.  

The legacy that Jim leaves to the world and to the ALS community is to "never give up", no matter what the challenge.
