Throughout July and the 2016 baseball season, The ALS Association Golden West Chapter is participating in and partnering with baseball teams to raise awareness and support for the fight against Lou Gehrig’s Disease. The national "Strike Out Lou Gehrig's Disease" campaign is focused on promoting the ALS registry and spreading awareness about the increased risk to our military veterans.

This July 4, the Fresno Grizzlies will host a special ceremony to honor the 77th anniversary of Lou Gehrig's farewell to baseball before they battle against the Sacramento River Cats. Please check out the event flyer for more details.  Volunteers will be on hand to answer questions, provide information about ALS and the Golden West Chapter, National ALS registry, and to promote our Central Valley Walk to Defeat ALS.
