Throughout July and the 2016 baseball season, The ALS Association Golden West Chapter is participating in and partnering with baseball teams to raise awareness and support for the fight against Lou Gehrig’s disease.

On July 27th, the San Francisco Giants will host a special day to honor the 77th anniversary of Lou Gehrig's farewell to baseball before they play against the Cincinnati Reds.  There will be a special on-field presentation with people with ALS and their families. Volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and provide information about ALS and the Golden West Chapter, and to promote our East Bay Walk to Defeat ALS, South Bay Walk to Defeat ALS, and the Napa Valley Ride to Defeat ALS.
